Daredevil breaks bike jump record - twice
Seth Enslow midway through on his record-breaking stunt
Seth Enslow broke the previous record of 157ft (47.853 6 m), set by US stunt performer Bubba Blackwell, when he jumped a huge 175ft (53.34 m) on his Harley-Davidson at Sydney Harbour.
But when the cameras were in place, Enslow returned to the ramp to smash his new record once more, flying 183.7ft (55.991 76 m) through the air.
The freestyle motocross star landed his second jump awkwardly but did not suffer any serious injuries.
"I might have broke the record but I think I broke my nut too," Enslow said after the jump.
It had taken his team 12 months to prepare the ramp for the stunt.
"Lot of hard work putting this ramp together the last few days, the weather has been testing us but we made it happen so accomplished the job we set out to do," he said.
Seth Enslow had previously tried to break the record in 1999 on a custom built Honda bike, but failed and injured himself.
The motorcycle jump record was once held by stuntman Evel Knievel, who sailed across 14 buses on his Harley in 1975.
