On December 14, the controversial Danish Koran law, which prohibits "improper treatment" of the Koran and certain other religious scriptures, came into force.

Dan Park had already promised in advance that he was going to break the law immediately - and so it happened.

The street artist was in Copenhagen on December 14 and "crucified" a Koran on a tree. Under the Koran he fixed a matchbox and a sign with the message "Just burn it".

Now Park has been summoned to an interrogation with the Danish police, which is to be held on Monday.

"Protesting against Denmark's restriction of freedom of expression to appease Islamists is not unnecessary, on the contrary, it is a duty," writes Dan Park in a comment on X.
