It's a step back in my opinion, basking in former glory. Dalglish belongs to a by-gone era and I expect the feel-good effect wearing off come next season.

I predict Liverpool to finish outside the Top 4 again. :D

Yes it was a deliberate omission, lying low for now. :D

I respectfully disagree. ;)
Liverpool fans are supposed to be the best in the world, and in certain aspects, they probably are, but one thing they are really poor at is accepting "outsiders" or moving away from a mindset of inbreeding. :o

They turned against Roy Hodgson who was the BPL manager of the year last season with Fulham. Ok, he wasn't media savvy and had problems adjusting to a big club, but he duly went to WBA and saved them from relegation. This guy is a top class coach/manager whom Liverpool fans could not appreciate.

Liverpool need an "insider" to be their manager/coach. There's no one better than Kenny at the moment. Their team looks in good shape even with Gerrard injured. Suarez looks like a world class player. They probably need 2 top left sided players to challenge for the title, so that Meireles can move into the centre.

My personal recommendation for Liverpool management team would be Ronnie Whelan as the manager and botak Steve McMahon as his assistant. ;)

While Liverpool hunts for their left sided players, we will be hunting for YOU! :D

LFC is clearly trapped in a vicious circle.

They need a clean break from the past. Man for man I think they are up for it agst any team but not their mentality, still dwelling in their glory days, and it's made worse by Man U dominance for almost 2 decades.

Hence Dalglish is not the right man to lead the team. They need an "outsider" to break the cycle.

No Top 4 finish with Dalglish around! ;)

Vicious circle? Hahahaha. :D

Who do you recommend as a suitable "outsider"? The Special One?
Or here's another thought. How about the one who talks about sardines and trawlers? :D

Look at what Benitez did for LFC - a European Cup trophy! A fluke? Yes... Kelong? Maybe.

The box needs to be shaken! Someone in the mould of The Special One should do the trick, someone outside the box to shake it, not some old-schooled Scouser! I doubt TSO is interested in the job though. ;)
