Cyndi Wang goes topless for a good cause

Usually conservative Taiwanese pop-star Cyndi Wang has taken her clothes off to help cancer patients. The sweet-faced star was photographed naked waist-up in a portrait to raise funds for a cancer foundation. The portrait is a direct shot of Wang with her arms covering her chest with a zipper running across her body. The photographer, who initially asked the star to expose her shoulders, managed to coax her into going topless during the shoot.
“Many cancer patients have surgical scars on their bodies and the photographer wanted to express that with zippers,” her manager explained, adding that Wang lost her grandfather to liver cancer. Her manager added: “Cyndi was willing to take her clothes off because she liked the concept of the event. Plus, it’s for charity and she wanted to show her support.” The photo was sold for a hefty US$10,000 on Wednesday.
