Cyclist-taxi head-on collision caught on camera
A cyclist was thrown off his bike when he was hit by a taxi near Singapore Expo on Tue.
SINGAPORE : A cyclist was thrown off his bike when he was hit by a taxi near Singapore Expo on Tuesday night.
The head-on collision at the junction of Upper Changi Road and Somapah Road was captured on a taxi’s in-car video camera.
According to an eye witness, the cyclist was dashing across the traffic junction as the green pedestrian sign was flashing when he was hit by a taxi making a right turn.
Police received a call about the accident at about 10pm. The 52-year-old cyclist was conscious when he was taken to Changi General Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing.
