Together the 2 items weights much more than a straw (about 200% at least) and both are plastic! Cup was paper.

They are worse and even more wasteful and useless because the cover and plug were only used for 15 secs as I walked from drinks stall to table. I opened and discarded them when I sat down to begin drinking.

I would be drink with a straw if provided for may be 20 mins.

Meaning the useful lifespan of a straw would be 10X or more longer than that cover and plug which are at least twice the amount of plastic material.

Some stupid GREEN ENVIRONMENT Practices are just foolish blind efforts with completely NEGATIVE ACHIEVEMENTS. Laughing-stocks and practically damaged environment at many times worse actually.
