A doctor from has pleaded guilty in court today for exposing himself to a student.

According to The Straits Times, Ivan Ngeow Ko Yen, 37, a doctor of Changi General Hospital, had cross-dressed in what was described as a Victoria Junior College school uniform in August 2010.

While he loitered at the void deck of a flat at Clementi Street 13, he was seen by a 19-year-old teen girl who had just got off from a bus at about 9pm and was returning home.

The girl, an undergrad at the National University of Singapore, ignored the man and entered the lift, but saw Ngeow exposing his genitals to her through the glass panels of the lift doors.

The girl rushed home and called the police, which led to Ngeow being arrested five months later.

Ngeow may face a year of jail time, or a fine of up to $10,000, or both, for the offence.

Netizens are abuzzed about the case and are wondering if the doctor may have been too stressed when he carried out the bizarre act.

"It's normal to expose private parts to doctors, but the doctor exposing his private parts?!" exclaimed netizen 'migrant'.

A netizen, 'kaka39' also wondered if Ngeow's patients were offended by his conviction.

"After learning of his 'exploits', his patients must have been very put off, especially if they had to undress for him", said the netizen.
