Cowardice Or Bravery

Would you consider suicide an act of cowardice, for not wanting to face life and its problems headon or would you consider it an act of bravery for daring to take his own life?

Would you consider someone who runs away from someone trying to harm or kill him, a coward? Or should he be brave and take on the killer?
Would you consider him a coward if he calls the police or asks for help? Or would he be considered brave if he runs away first and then goes back another time to get the killer or hires someone to go after the killer?

Are acts in the workplace considered cowardice? Or are they simply things people do to get ahead, get more money, self preservation, etc?

Suicide is an act of cowardice, or not willing to face the realities of life. Unless suicide can achieve greater good (for example save the world), it is cowardice

Nothing to do with cowardice or bravery. It is common sense to run away. Nonetheless, cowardice to run away and abandon others ot the mercy of the killer.

Nothing to do with cowardice or bravery. It is common sense to run away. Nonetheless, cowardice to run away and abandon others ot the mercy of the killer.

what if a person sacrifices his life so as to save another? many would view it as an act of HEROISM. however, if a person kills himself for reasons only he knows or dunno, many would view it differently. some feel sad for him. some call his suicide an act of COWARDICE. some more deplorable one would put it as "good! another enemy lesser....":(

unless we were that person facing the same kind of emotional or other forms of suffering he's undergoing, we could never understand why the poor guy chooses to end his life prematurely. in simple term, we must be mindful about others.

HEROISM OR COWARDICE, the end still results in death. just as a relativity, people view it differently and classify according to their personal delusion.

to me, it's a premature termination of living. whether cowardice or bravery, one must treasure his own life no matter what. with life, there is hope. with hope, there is a way and solution to every life's problem.

It depends. if hes a gangster being chased, well he should be prepared for such situations anyway.

Suicide or not it's an emotional choice, no one will commit suicide if he/she does not have any emotional problems great enough to warrant it. cowardice or heroism? no comments.:p

Suicide is never an act of bravery. It is just an easy way out for a person who cannot face his problems head on. Death is only an instant but to get out of the situtation which forces you to choose death in the first place take wisdom and courage.

There is only a thin line between wisdom and foolish and courage and cowardice. There are people with courage but foolish but we all should strive to be the wise and brave one.

To win a war with fighting is nothing but it takes true wisdom to win a war without fighting.

but the guy who threw himself into the river which gave us reason to celebrate that stupid ba zhang festival....now that is neither bravery or cowardice because to sacrifice oneself for the country...now that is STUPIDITY!!
