Well, look at it this way. Unless you are a toilet cleaner or a caregiver, you are not going to have encounter with other people's shit, including flushing the toilet, as long as you avoid all unflushed toilets. And if you are worried about getting the virus from flushing your own shit, don't worry because if the virus is in your shit, it means you already have it! 
What if a prior toilet user didn't wash her hands properly after cleaning herself and the covid 19 virus has contaminated the tap and basin?Well, look at it this way. There is always a chance that a person can get infected from this or other encounters. Just try to minimize the chances of getting infected by washing your own hands properly and not touching the tap or basin after that. There is no 100% method of prevention, but plenty of ways you can mimimize the chances of getting infected.
