Couple arrested on suspicion of loanshark harassment

A pair of 18-year-old lovers were arrested on suspicion of loanshark harassment on Tuesday.

The couple are suspected of harassing residents at King George Avenue in Lavender by sending mail containing 'hell notes' and incense papers in August this year.

The female suspect was arrested at Bedok South by police from the Central Police Division and her accomplice was caught later that day in Macpherson.

The male suspect is believed to be involved in at least 16 similar cases of loanshark harassment since August, allegedly assisted by his girlfriend.
