IPOH: A police constable allegedly shot a woman’s arm by accident after the two had a lovers’ spat at a hotel parking lot here.
The two, both in their 20s, were arguing at about 2.45am yesterday when the constable, attached to the Perak Tengah police district, fired the shot.
The woman was rushed to the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital here where she underwent minor surgery on her left arm.
Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Azisman Alias said the matter was being investigated under the Firearms Act 1960.
“We have yet to ascertain if the shot was fired on purpose or by accident,” ACP Azisman said.
