Construction worker berated by stylishly-dressed woman
Passengers in a public bus in Chongqing, China, caused a stir when a stylishly-dressed woman berated a construction worker, asking him to walk and not get on the bus as he was “dirty”, Nanyang Siang Pau reported.
The argument came to an end only when a child stood up and said something startling.
The shabbily dressed 50-year-old was asked to “walk back home” by the woman as he tried to board the bus .
“You are so dirty you should not board a public bus. You should walk back home instead,” the woman reportedly told the man.
The man argued but the woman told him he would only tarnish the image of the city.
Both were arguing in the bus and hordes of other passengers joined in, most of them taking the man's side.
However, the argument abruptly stopped when a 10-year-old pupil stood up and said to the woman: “If we do not have construction workers, we won't have what we have in our city now.
“If you look down on them, what will happen if they refuse to carry out construction work in the city?”
