Recently there have been a lot of disquiet and online chatty about possible split within the PAP between GCT and LHL fraction.
The mixed signals that the electorates received from various members of the party is a clear sign that things are not well. The haphazard electioneering tactics and strategies right up the the very last minutes is another clear sign. GCT attempted to sabotage MBT, WKS, VB and KBW while defending George Yeo. Meanwhile, LKY attempted to sabotage George with "thou shalt repent" who is rumored to be part of GCT's camp is another indication. Lim Boon Heng's attempted to portrait a divided party was removed at the very last minute. George Yeo's proposal to "Transform" the PAP from within after this election is the latest salvo aimed at LHL and his inner circle of elites.
My educated guess is that LHL panicked that a revolt within the party was immense if both GCT and GY were elected. He must have decided to chop-off the snake head immediately. As it was already nearing "cooling period" he had not choice but to asked TPL to "pull the plug" and directly sabotage the GCT's team via her FB posting knowing that discrediting Nicole during the "cooling period" would definitely inflamed the voters. Also, it will show that TPL is not matured and poor leadership to push responsibility to her administrator. Further it will show PAP Marine Parade are not professional retorting to smear and sarcastic tactics during cooling period.
We know by now that most of GCT's other old guards have being retired during 2006 and this election.
<a><b>The question we need to ask today is this:-</b></a>
1. Is TPL a mole within GCT's GRC team to disrupt Goh's chance of getting re-elected (remember, she was pushed to Goh by LHL. Also her husband is LHL's private secretary).
2. Failing which, she now retorted to disqualify the GCT's entire team by deliberately breaking the "Cooling Period" rule?
All else does not make sense, coming from a professional party like PAP, and she and her husband political savvy.
