I have been to a handful of cities in the world, and I had always been proud of that the fact that Singapore was pretty ahead of others until I stepped into Seoul years back. I was simply dumbfounded.
Seoul was way ahead of us in almost every aspect. I remember those days when Korean construction workers were everywhere in the construction site in front of Capitol, which is now Raffles City Tower. Within such a short period, the country where these construction workers came has overtaken Singapore by quite a distance. When I looked down from my hotel room at Sheraton Walker Inn, I knew in my heart that Singapore would never catch up with South Korea.
Now I'm worried the rest of the cities would also overrun Singapore, neighbours such as Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh.
