HONG KONG - A coffee-flavoured beverage that makes its drinkers feel dizzy, hot and take off their clothes is making its rounds in night clubs in Hong Kong, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.

Several girls, said the daily, had fallen victim to the drink, which came from mainland China.

The beverage was made from powder, which had several "stimulants" added to it.

The powder, named "coffee powder" for its similarity in smell, had also been marketed in Taiwan.

Each 100gm of sachet was reportedly sold for between HK$3,000 and HK$4,000 (S$480 and S$640) although some unscrupulous dealers would repack these into smaller packets.
