An ex-cop, who was arrested for killing clerk Jennifer Yu Wai-yuk, has revealed his relationship with her. The 43-year-old Wan Kin-chung told police that Yu was his sex partner for over a year. They first met when she boarded his taxi. Last Wednesday, the semi-naked body of Yu, 25, was found in the sea in Hong Kong.

Wan, who is now a cabbie, came into the picture after surveillance cameras near the scene captured images of his taxi. Police also retrieved some telephone records between the pair. He was charged on Tuesday. About 7.15pm last Wednesday, the pair went to a secluded place in Long Ha Wan, where they had sex in the taxi.

Then, Yu hinted that she wanted to end their relationship as her German boyfriend was returning to the Special Administrative Region from Beijing. Wan got angry and grabbed her neck tightly. He shouted: "I got into debt because of you and you treat me like this!" Yu went unconscious. Thinking that she was dead, Wan dumped her body into the sea. He also threw away her jeans, panties and shoes, which Yu had yet to wear after having sex. Yu died of drowning.
