A MALAYSIAN man who has been exposing himself to his victims under the Clementi Flyover was fined $6,000 on Friday.
The 51-year-old unemployed man, Basiran A. Rahman, pleaded guilty to three charges of committing an obscene act in public.
Four similar charges were taken into consideration.
The incidents took place between April and October last year in broad daylight, when he exposed himself on seven occasions, twice to one victim.
His victims all saw him standing along a pavement under the flyover, stroking his exposed private part.
The victims were also all female except for one who was a male taxi driver.
Basiran pleaded with the district judge for a light sentence.
The former fitter with KTM at the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station said that he had been fired since his arrest. His 17-year-old son was also taking an important exam this year, he added. Basiran could have been jailed up to three months, fined, or both, on each charge.
