From wayangparty club:
There have been speculation in cyberspace lately that we have “kissed and made up” with TOC. Initially, we had not intention of replying to them, but the rumors and conspiracy theories floating around are now becoming so ridiculous that we have no choice but to clarify the following:
1. Wayangparty has never abandoned its principle or purpose. Our dream, goal and path remained the same as outlined in our mission statement.
2. We still harbor some reservations about one or two members of TOC.
3. We have not been “bought” over by any party and neither are we forming a political party with anybody.
That’s all we can reveal for now.
Let me quote you an analogy from the Chinese classic by Luo Guanzhong “Romance of the Three Kingdoms” which depicts the complex politics between three emerging states from the decay and eventual demise of the Eastern Han dynasty from 189 to 220 AD.
The Battle of Red Cliff in 208 A.D. in southern China laid down the foundations of the three kingdoms. Then, Liu Bei, the scion of the dying Han dynasty allied with Sun Quan of Eastern Wu, a warlord of the 81 provinces of Jiangdong to defeat the much stronger Cao Cao.
Liu Bei had only 1 million troops then and Sun Quan had 10 million. They were never close friends and were in fact enemies as Sun Quan’s father, Sun Jian was killed by a general under Liu Biao’s command, who happened to be Liu Bei’s fraternal uncle.
