This is the tip of the iceberg.
Most cases are unreported esp those that involve verbal abuse and deprivation of food/sleep/rest.
Maids will just run to agent and ask for transfer.
You really cannot be surprised at such behaviour from a specie that mostly support PAP.
They also abuse their husbands who mostly try to tolerate it due to the draconian Women's Charter.
