Chinese woman arrested and manhandled by police?

A 35-year-old Chinese woman claimed that she was manhandled by several police officers after she was arrested at the "no-soliciting zone" in Geylang and brought back to the Central Police Station for questioning.

Miss Zhang from China's Northeastern Jilin Province made a police report after the incident and spoke to Lianhe Wanbao at 11pm last night at the Singapore General Hospital.

Apart from some swelling on her right cheek, mouth, wrists and limbs, her gums were also bleeding. She also complained of dizziness, and had to be put in a wheelchair.

She said that she came to Singapore on 9 December holiday after she broke up with her boyfriend and has been staying in a rented HDB flat in Hougang since she arrived.

She was supposed to return home today but was arrested by the anti-vice group the day before.
