Chinese expecting large percentage fall in exports

China's leaders are expecting a drop in exports this year by as much as 10 per cent.
Exports fell for a fifth month in March, forcing new government efforts to stimulate domestic demand.
The Chinese government is attempting to attract up to 2 trillion yuan in foreign funds to meet its 8 per cent economic growth target.
To spur its internal spending, China has subsidised rural purchases of televisions and refrigerators and plans a 29 per cent increase in welfare spending this year.
