Last time chingay free to watch, only locals make it so unique, especially the kris display but donch know why this dagger show no more---somepeople not happy ?

Chin-gay is actually local culture to make aliens see see and think think but now no more.

Chin-gay like become a big propaganda show, somemore must pay to watch.

But something changed----no more chingay, now it is like some PAP flavor inside with many FTs dancing side by side .
Chingay can call Chap cheng gay oredi.

What is the point of Chap cheng Gay----no more the flavor of local sinkapore.

Everything they also want to destroy, they hate the local things so much but funny still the locals vote for them.
So funny.
So thick skinned, dare to call chingay, shame for three generations ! Might as well call Sia -Suay Gay , hahahahahah…..

yep singapore chingay is not a cultural chingay but a "bastardised" one. devoid of culture, full of crap and for commercial value only for tourists. you should travel to JB on the 6 Mar Sat from 8- 12 pm and see for your self what a real chingay is like. believe me , you would be amazed at the difference and the culture of a real chingay. It is a long procession last 2 hours and only in JB malaysia do they allow this type of religious procession on a massive scale. you tube has come videos of last years. the irony is that in singapore a " chinese" predominant city and they don't allow it. yep JB allows such a massive religious procession right through JB city.

i like to see how schools perform but when alien come out, when leaders of government agency come out and our PAP leader come out, i decide to switch off my tv.

The only thing msm show is their master PAP LHL and his wife grandstanding on the float waving. Don't expect cooling period to be cooled for PAP, main stream media knows how to suck up to their master.

I remember i ever watched chin-gay from my old flat's balcony at Circuit Road. That's more than 3 decades ago. Now, it's wayang only, for tourists and "live telecast".

why is Chingay being taken away from the man-in-the-street?

Unlike in past years, where members of the public can get a view from the sidewalk, Chingay 2010 is only restricted to the paying audience fenced up in the F1 pit building area..

What was started for the people is being taken away from them.

Why is Chingay for the tourists and the rich only?

Saw the PA botak guy played as drummer..whoa, really like a PAP dog. People's Association shd rename as PAP's or LKY's Association.

ROI.

The tourist can pay, and the rich can pay.

The man on the street, and the public are not paying.

It cost money to finance the CHING GAY operations, and I guess this time round, it's not for free...

Likewise, F1 not free also... perhaps to recuperate the cost of making the roads etc...

Anyways, I don't really watch CHING GAY, so, if the tourist and the rich would love to pay for viewing it, it's good for the ROI of the Government...

so that they could finance the already big pay check of our ministers isn't it?

If any Singaporeans really want to see a REAL CHING GAY, then make a point to visit Rio De Jenario, Sao Paulo, & Salvador all major cities of Brazil, and visit their Carnival... you'll never regret it... because you'll really see people having parties for a good 1 week!!!!
