This seal was spotted having a whale of a time after it boarded a rubber dinghy to bask in the sun.
The chilled-out mammal climbed onto the small inflatable tied to a buoy in the River Dart in Devon.
It was spotted by a group of holidaymakers who at first they thought it was a stranded dog.

But when they went back to have another look they realised it was a large grey seal lapping up the sunshine.
Judging by the pictures, the marine mammal gave the makeshift lilo the seal of approval as it even appeared
to grin at the camera while lying on its back.
