In the forum page recently, someone wrote in to object about children's bad behaviour being blamed on single parent families and poor upbringing by the parents.
I can understand the objection about single parent families, there is no evidence or data to prove that the children from such families are more badly behaved.
But how can the bad behaviour of children not be blamed on poor upbringing by the parents? This must be the single most important reason why children are badly behaved. In fact, I think for every crime or indiscretion committed bu children, the parents should be even more severely punished. If bad behaviour from children doesn't come from the parents, then I really don't know what's the point in calling these people parents.
