Taiwanese pop-rock band F.I.R. and local movie director Jack Neo made special appearances.
And so did singer Ho Yeow Sun in what is believed to be her first appearance at City Harvest Church's service since returning to Singapore on Monday.
She was accompanied by her husband, Reverend Kong Hee, the founder of the church.
The couple, along with several others, are assisting the police with their investigation into the finances of the church.
The mood at the City Harvest Church's morning service yesterday was rousing.
Indeed, some members of the 10,000-strong congregation at the Singapore Expo Hall 1 were unaware of Ms Ho's presence until the F.I.R. trio approached her and Rev Kong.
Shortly after the two-hour service began, F.I.R. went onstage to share their experience.
Each described how members of the church, including Rev Kong and Ms Ho, have touched their lives and encouraged them even when the going seemed tough.
