If you believe in Christ, you will have eternal life.

That's means immortality.

If you don't which majority of the population are, do not have eternal life.

That's means lesser mortal.

By I think personally, he should put it nicely, instead of offending so many people, because the lesser mortal wouldn't understand his point of views easily.

You should stand in his position..you can't if you don't know or understand his faith or values....lol..

So there's a communication breakdown here. People don't understand one another.

To be a minister, the heart is for the people.

When you think that pple are lesser mortal, that says about his character. His faith is no issue here.

If that is the argument, then i can say did he eat meat? Those who eat meat are lesser mortal as well. I cannot just go to you and say you are lesser mortal just because you eat meat and ignorant to the life of animals.

We show compassion/ kindness/ empathy to them and help them to achieve awareness within them. These minister do not have such foundation in their character and yet still hold their post as minister, in the end the whole country is fucked by them.

I beg to differ. I don't subscribe to this view that he was speaking from the viewpoint of his religious beliefs.

No, not at all. Like many people in power, they often shout off their mouths indiscriminately without forethought as to what might be perceived by their audience.

They often think of themselves as high & mighty as they live in an ivory tower, far removed from the common people, the "peasants". So, they consider themselves as the "upper class", the "elite"," the "new nobility", etc & they label the rest of the common folks as "lesser mortals", the "have-nots", the "fringe of society", etc.

Please correct me if I misquote but I understand that George Orwell in his satire, "Animal Farm" has a famous sarcastic quotation that goes something like this : "All animals are created equal but some are more equal than others."
