That's similar with my friend's case of brain stroke. I am no doctor but full of experience with stroke among family and friends, had witness many times, and rescued several relatives. I was having a tea with my friend and suddenly, his home called, said his girl friend entered his house with a knife threatening his then divorcing (in progress divorce) wife (now divorced) daughter was teen and panicking. He asked me to help him and so we rushed to his home.
There was big havoc. Big shouting and chasing upstairs - downstairs repeatedly. My friend sweat like hell, puffing, sweating extremely, face turned from pale to red and red to pale between shoutings and pause. He told me that he is going to past out soon, asked me to take care of him. He collapsed within 1 min after telling me that. I carried him to sofa, & checked, pulse very strong, sweat too much, cannot response to anything including pain, pupil opening, not responding to light.
I knew he Tua Kee already, called 999, the GF fled before mata came.
Then SCDF sent him CGH.
CT scan showed no bleeding in brains but he still coma. I knew he need a dose of Aspirin or other block-busting IV, but CGH does not want to give him after 2 hrs observation. I asked doctor several times, they still want to observe another 4~6 hrs. KNN!
Then his divorcing don't fuck care about him any more. Daughter was below 21 cannot sign anything to take responsibility to discharge him. I cannot either because not family member. My opinion was to take him on private ambulance to NMI TTSH, where I know they can handle him correctly. I had that teen daughter called up all her uncles to come to CGH, took 2 hrs to gather them at CGH and discuss. 30 mins later, I booked private ambulance. The brothers sign for undertaking to transfer him to TTSH.
6hrs was lost wasting time @CGH.
TTSH got neurologists plenty. they saw his CGH CT Scan, and checked, took blood samples, and asked me whole story of what happened and his condition since he past out. In 30 mins they decided to IV him Aspirin. I was by the side of bed in A & E. I saw Aspirin injected. That within 20 mins after injecting Aspirin, he responded to pain, when doctor used the torchlight pressed against his chest he got up and KPKB. That was the light they used to check his pupil respond. He was angry with doctor causing him chest pain. But I was happy to explain that they had just saved his live, and did not know that he had been to hell and back.
The exciting quarrel caused some clog to move from somewhere inside his blood to clog up inside brain blood vessel, cause a brain stroke. Aspirin melted the clog. This method can be used as long as CT found no bleeding. If bleeding then Aspirin will make bleeding worse because it makes blood thin and bleed won't even stop.
