组屋外墙石灰板8楼坠落

组屋外墙的石灰板从8楼飞坠而下，还好没有击中任何行人。

这起惊险意外发生在昨天上午11时左右，地点是大巴窑1巷第107座组屋。这座组屋的屋龄将近40年。

据了解，事发时，该座组屋七八楼的楼梯口处的外墙，有四片约1.5公尺长的石灰板不知何故脱落，飞坠而下。

当时，组屋楼下售卖金银纸的陈姓女店主听到轰然巨响。

这名不愿具名的店主受访时说：“石灰板没有击中任何行人，市镇会到了下午四五点派人来清理。”

《联合早报》记者下午3时左右抵达现场了解情况，只见石灰板仍碎落一地。此外，有盖走道也被击中，破碎成许多小片，散落四处。

四小时后，记者再度走访现场，市镇会人员已将受影响的范围围起来，不让居民和行人靠近。

If you look at HDB Annual Report, it is filled with all types of quality awards.

But yet their quality is pretty bad with many new flats suffering from cracked tiles, leaking pipes etc. This is 2009, construction quality should be just as good as private condos. Difference in price is cheaper construction technique (pre fab), cheaper fittings, etc
