It should follow the example of the Land Transport Authority, which, when a glitch with Electronic Road Pricing occurs, gives affected motorists a $10 card to make up for the inconvenience.
Most ez-link card users are average citizens who requires the card to travel daily. It is not their fault if their cards are defective. EZ-Link should sort out this problem with the supplier and recover the cost from the supplier.
It should compensate the commuters with a complimentary card with a stored value of $10 while refunds are looked into.
