Could LKY father, Lee Chin Koon, gambling habit has anything to do with him saying casinos would be allowed in Singapore only “over my dead body.”?

Lee's gambling habit put strains on his relationship with his wife. He would gamble at the Chinese Swimming Club and at times return home in an angry mood, demanding jewellery from his wife to pawn for more funds to continue.

For reasons only known to LKY himself, he started to build not one, but two casinos.

It is no different from a person who sees the damages done to their loved ones who abuses drug, but he himself has became a drug lord just because of money.
So, is such person a man of integrity and great man worthy of praises?

- tickets start at like S$150, you don't need to be rich to afford that once a year, especially when you complain about not being able to drive your CAR in town during the race period...
- tremendous inconvenience to motorists ??? Avoid town for a weekend, cycle or take public transport, what's so hard about that...
- Why does it look ludicrous? All foreign media reports i see put the race and country in a good light.
