'FRUSTRATING'. That was what Foreign Affairs Minister George Yeo said he felt in the 2006 general election (GE).
Just when he thought he was prepared to 'box' on issues pertaining to his ward, 'the opponent was in a different ring'.
This time round, Mr Yeo hinted that he will be better prepared for the upcoming election, where he is expected to stand again at Aljunied GRC.
The Straits Times reported on July 15 that he had told party activists to be ready for an election either at the end of this year, or in the second quarter of next year after the national Budget.
At the last GE, the People's Action Party team helmed by him was contesting against a team led by Workers' Party (WP) chairman Sylvia Lim.
Aljunied GRC became the hottest battleground of the election when Ms Lim led her party's 'A' team to secure 43.9 per cent of the valid votes.
