Since the RWS is applying for their casino licence, i wonder if those PRs need to pay entry fee ok not?

technically, it applies to Singaporeans. But the government in many cases lumped the PR as Singaporeans. So they should not get in. But if they just show their malaysia passports without the blue ic, then they can go in without paying $100.

also, if they are not considered as Singaporeans, then they can go in.

Anyway, casino will be another Singapore Not For Singaporeans,,,,,

Is the $100 per entry? Can go in, come out, go in again? Or within 24 hrs?
Can one stay there for days? So many unanswered queries...wonder how they can effectively police this....likely it will give out $100 hotel or food n beverage vouchers for each one paying the levy....

I still don't understand what the $100 entry fee is for. Anyone can enlightened me on the MIWs reason for introducing this fee? If you are a real hardcore gambler, $100 is not a lot of pay. It would only deter casual gamblers, as its not worth going in just to have a look around. Is this the main reason why the fee was introduced? Another question is, where does the $100 goes to? To the government or the Casino?

Same as the cigarette tax...where does it go to? or the TV Licence?..or........it go into the front pockets & exit the back pockets, while the mouth is telling you, "this is for your own good"...:D

Then again, have the consumption of cigarettes dropped?, Min of Health is happy..it provides income, have TV licence benefited the consumers..getting free to air world cup 2010 telecast..no a repeat to death peranakan thingy..like they have just discovered the PERANAKANS..and all the propaganda trash...

That is where the money is going to...not to the caSINoes owners...:p

One thing is for sure, Sinkie peasants will definately pay more than S$100 once they enter the gates of the gambling den.

Old saying goes for every ten gamblers on the same game only 1 will win, the other 9 will lose.

If one lose and other nine wins, it must be a kelong.

9 FT will win..and the greatest looser will be the SINkinporeans, who not, only have to be humilated with the S$100 ( No animals & SINGAPOREANS allowed) fee to enter own space in the country..but in every which way looses to FT's...

The $100 will go to the government who will most probably use the $$ to "treat" gambling addiction. keke

The $100 entry fee is per entry for up to 24 hours. So Singaporeans go into the casino must get out before 24 hours is up. How they are going to manage this is beyond me. Will everyone be given a tag that starts beeping when time is up?

The $100 entry fee is to discourage "casual" gamblers so that they feel the pinch while going in. However, for serious gamblers, they would buy the $2000 membership (equal to 20 trips) for unlimited entries.

I understand that the casinos are likely to sell food cheaply, give drinks away free (no free cigarettes cos Singapore). So it will be quite comfy to hang around for 24 hours.

100 bucks entry fee is a propaganda deterent...must be thoughtful...if you don't charge...who is gng to go to leisure world??

If S$100 entry fees can be a deterrent for some1 to enter the casino to lose $100,000 it would worth a solid $100,100.
