<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I REFER to Mr Andrew Seow's feedback last Thursday, 'Not a question of whether prices go up or down but whether there is competition'.
The Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) has raised this issue previously with the Competition Commission of Singapore (CCS). No further action was taken as available information did not amount to evidence of collusion. Nevertheless, we shall continue to monitor the price movements and alert CCS if we suspect collusion.
Besides published prices, consumers should take advantage of the various loyalty programmes, rebates and differentiated discounts offered by petrol companies as part of their marketing strategies. Consumers may want to shop around or check out our website where we published the latest petrol prices as of Aug 31.
We thank Mr Seow for his feedback.
