What was to be a simple arrest for attempt car burglary soon developed into a city chase
along busy, narrow Taiwanese streets and back lanes.
A desperate attempt by the 22-year-old carjacker to escape in his getaway car on 16 August
2012 in the city of Tai Chung, Taiwan was captured on the dash cam of the local police car
giving chase.
As the chase developed, he was seem negotiating his way through the narrow and congested
streets breaking all the traffic rules in the book, ramming and damaging five cars in the process.
The chase soon ended with him being on the wrong side of the road and sandwiched between
cars from all sides.
Fortunately for all, there was not reported injuries from other road users.
Unfortunately for the stolen vehicle owner, his car is due for a major lengthy overhaul.
