Car auction here

Recently, my friend made me aware such a thing called car auction exists in sg. How novel, I thought. So, I rang the co to find out a little more. And this is how auction is conducted here: (a)go see the car, no test drive but can inspect car and engine with ignition turn on provided they have the key! (b)submit a bidder-binding 'bid' to "auctioner-aka used-car salesman", cross your fingers and await result, (c)you'll be informed when your bid is successful. You won't know how many bidders or what bids afre submitted.

What do these "auctioners" take ppl here for? Complete imbecilic bumpkins? But I do believe some idiots exist here. If you are one of them, kindly share your successful experience.

This are typically repossessed cars, mostly by GE Money.

Most used car dealers would offer paper + body for such cars.

Aiyah . you really give wrong info . That info may be correct last year but even since the coe had been rising for the past few months, they are quoting a much higher price

Still paper + body lah bro...

I've been asking around cause I have a car which was badly damaged in an accident. Unless you have a car registered in 2008, chances are you'll get paper + body or slightly better.

Dealers will sing one tune when you're selling and another when they're selling. If it's the latter, it'll be base on depreciation which is bull.
