Again, throwing money at a problem. Any idiot can do it and you don't have to pay a million to the idiot.

If I'm the workgroup. I also suggest collect $500 from Amy first, flog her cheebye and rebate $50. Can?

juz another fine feather in ze cap 4 a fine c-t ...

Millions of used canned and bottled drinks from neighbiuring countries may find its way to sinkue.

Kathlyn Tan is this libtard bitch?

Tan’s encounters and observations serve her well in her role as a director at Rumah Group and Rumah Foundation, which encompass the family office established by her businessman-father Stanley Tan. Here, she also works alongside her husband Thomas Riber Knudsen, an expert in supply chain management.

She joined the family office in 2011, and since 2017, she has been responsible for the philanthropy and impact investments of its environmental portfolio. Nature-based solutions, wildlife conservation, fish welfare, alternative proteins and circular economy are some examples.

Last July, she also became director of Communications & Sustainability at GYP Properties. At the publicly listed real estate developer — Rumah has investments here — she is responsible for the development and improvement of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG).

Anytime you see the word 'sustainability' and mentions of ESG (investing), recognize them as part of the anti-carbon cult. But since the country has been sold out to BlackRock, it's not surprising.

Go ahead, make my day, blame me too. Voting is secret, but the insignificant nobody me is of the 61% whom voted for the incumbent party to administer the nation to uplift lives & progress for all & future generations to come.

There is NO planet B, thus a critical need to resolve the harm done to our planet. If we this generation do not do so NOW, our kids & their kids will be living in dumpsters as planet Earth will be filled with un-biodegradable trash such as plastics. Already, majority of Worldwide landfills are LITERALLY filled to the brim with trash & NO life can exist there. There will be no more place soon, thus recycling is the only solution.

It is comprehensible that there will be hue & cries from the public. They do not yet know, or able to handle truths. Perhaps, more education will be needed for young & old on the environmental crisis facing us & generations to come, but we Humanity, may not have the time, thus the need for shock & awe treatment, to save not just ours, but our generations & Earth's future.

Perhaps, much details are not made known yet about this current recycling effort, & citizens do have concerns.

1. The idea by Dr. Amy Khor is sound, but many may be wondering - WHAT will it cost to taxpayers - such as the vending machines which can be $5K to $7k/unit, the logistics involved to collect the trash, the money for recycle refunds, the vehicles, the manpower, the administration.

Solution:- Get the Recycling companies to bear such costs - eg:- form a collective unit created solely for such purposes, with funding & oversight. In this manner, govt treasury will not be involved or part with funds to manage the recycling effort. Should the created unit require funds, perhaps the govt can provide loan for initial outlay. Ultimately, the recycling companies do pay taxes too, & special dispensation can be discussed & offered for their efforts.

2. It would be an administrative nightmare should Inland Revenue officers have to chase after the accounts of shops, markets, etc that sell cans of drinks along with 20cts deposits, as there are far too many of them.

Solution:- Instead, get the MANUFACTURERS or IMPORTERS of can/bottle drinks to impose the 20cts additional charge for recycling effort for each can/bottle. As they will simply pass on the cost to distributors, IRAS will then only focus on those few to query accounts & obtain the 20cts for each can/bottle from them, to place into vending machines, or to any organization from Recycling manufacturers to do so.

3. It would be a hassle to consumers to hold on to a can/bottle to find a vending machine for mere 20cts change.

Solution:- A) consumers at hawker stalls or eateries where there are tray return cabinets, can leave it there if they do not want such hassle, & consider it as TIPS to the cleaners, & help them out with their small salaries. 100 X 20cts = $20.

B)Those who buy cartons will only need to have a small space at home to keep the cans/bottles. When each carton is filled up with empty cans/bottles, they can send themselves, or their maids, & the best are their kids, to get refund, as it will teach the kids the value of money, & be part of a noble cause to save not just their family finances, or our planet, but their own future.

There had been some complaints over the trial reverse vending machines placed by recycling companies that the machines are always full & customers will have to wait till the machines are cleared before use again. Perhaps new vending machines can be installed with silent hydraulic crushers, to flatten the cans/bottles from conveyor belt that can hold est 6cans at at time, to cut down waiting time, then it will take up lesser space per can/bottle & the vending space will have more volume to accept more cans/bottles.

Attached is a rough concept on how it can work:-

Prof, Does this involve FCE aka fundamentals of control engineering ? KNN

Thanks for your reply, Sweetiepie, but er... what's FCE, control engineering? Me only an insignificant nobody, for sure NOT a Prof by a long short, but I am sure our boys & talented fellow Singaporeans in Poly Mech Engineering & NUS Engineering dept can do a FAR, FAR more pioneering job in robotics than me.

Go ahead, make my day, blame me too.
Honorable poet, dear playright, there’s no one to blame.
Save the earth by recycling cans- what a naive claim.
I’d be collecting cans, too, just to stay in this game.
An ardent oppie in AJ- my vote remains the same.

last time pays for a drink only less can/bottle, now suggested to pay for a drink as well as the can/bottle, no suggestion for the redemption of the can/bottle?

The solution always favors the rich eg they eat in restaurants and cafes so do not have to clear their own trays and will the rich bother to save 20cents or just throw the containers away?
Same for COE, the rich can always pay or charge it to company expense or write off against tax.
As for wearing mask, the rich in cars do not neeed to wear mask but those 60% taking public transport actually voted for this .
Why was estate duty abolished in 2008 but GST keeps increasing, of course sheep think cotton comes from them
