Because when Chinese people celebrate, everyone celebrates with them. When moslems celebrate, most people don't give a fuck about it. We don't share in their shitty values, especially starting trouble during ramadan. There's normally an increase in violence by moslems during ramadan.

That's not true, there's also another public holiday in "hari raya haji"...

Normally most will take the entire week off. Christmas and new years day. So no point hanging around the office. Amgmoh companies will have their christmas do somewhere with booze and plenty of meat.

This raya falls on thursday. Take friday off and its four days off.so its like a long week end.
