A video game..it can bring in more revenue than a huge high tech
plant producing LCD TV, Computers, Mobile fones and what not.
And done with no pollution and energy consumption to speak of.

Los Angeles, Nov 28 (DPA)

Video game franchise Call of Duty has racked up over $3 billion in global sales thanks to the record-breaking release of its latest installment Modern Warfare 2, publisher Activision Blizzard said Friday.

The company said that over 55 million copies of Call of Duty have been sold since the launch of the franchise in 2003.

The hottest sales came this month when the release of Modern Warfare 2 stoked $550 million in sales in its first five days on the market, selling almost 5 million copies in the UK and US alone in what the company said was the highest-grossing entertainment

launch in history.

“Call Of Duty has become one of the greatest entertainment franchises of all time,” said Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard, Inc. “If you consider the number of hours our audiences are engaged in playing Call of Duty games, it is likely to be one of the most viewed of all entertainment experiences in modern history.”

do u know where to get the sales figures for far cry 2 and fallout 3?

I have played call of duty 1 and find it not so nice as compared to far cry 2
call of duty 2 feels like u are really fighting in a war war 2

for children may not be good

but it is the only way to 'feel ' it is like to fight a world war 2

the games are very well design
I played brother in arms-earn in blood
the game designer said that they have to find a real war veteran
who actually fought in the war to help design the game
and the result was really good
the 'feel' of the game was really like world war 2
it seems that if you are a normal soldier in ww2,
the gun u are using is not automatic (there was no ak47 in those days)
each time u shoot a bullet, u have to reload
sometime u shoot a bullet and missed, and no time to reload , a german soldier rushed at u and kill you...game over
