TWO brothers were charged in court on Thursday with using identity cards (IC) other than their own to enter Resorts World Sentosa casino in May.
Fu Chok Xiong, 27, a software engineer, allegedly used his brother Chok Wei's identity card to enter the casino at about 11.15pm on April 30.
He is also accused of entering the casino without paying the levy of $100 which all Singaporeans and permanent residents must pay.
Chok Wei, 34, a teacher, is accused of using the identity card of his wife, Madam Low Gek Ling, 31, to get in that evening.
The second charge accuses him of giving his IC to his brother without lawful authority or reasonable excuse.
A pre-trial conference will be held on Aug 29.
The maximum penalty for making use of another person's identity card is a $10,000 fine and 10 years' jail.
