Breaking: PA did not deny northwest CDC staff bonus rumors

According to rumors circulating on the internet lately, two staff of Northwest CDC received 8 months of bonuses last year which also includes the 13th month bonus.

The rumor was started by a forumer who posted it on the CNA forum. It was subsequently picked up by a blogger who wrote to Northwest CDC Mayor Dr Teo Ho Pin to seek for clarifications.

Our radio station had tried to contact Dr Teo too, but was unable to do so as he is currently overseas. Northwest CDC refused to comment on our queries and referred us to the People’s Association (PA) which is the overall in charge of the 5 CDCs in Singapore.

In the interview, PA did not verify or refute the rumors. Its official stance is: the wages of CDC’s staff are set within the guidelines of the National Wage Council. This means that the wages are fixed using multiple flexible components depending on the worker’s performance and economic background.

Have anyone realised that this is a catch22 situation or in my opinion, a sabotaged situation?

Had northwest CDC admit about the bonus, it could cause an uproar. Had they deny it, people will continue to question and demand proof that such bonuses did not exist.

So if you are from Northwest CDC, what would you do?

aiya,,, if they claimed only 2 staff got 7-8 months bonus, what you guys can do? hang Teo HP huh? if they say no, you demand proof? what proof you want? no means no already still want si mi proff? they will claimed all up to auditing standards and the external auditors has no problems with that.

somemore maybe these two staff help to secure the 10,000 jobs placements leh,,,, or these two staff help to avert another $8mil town council loss leh,,,, or these two staff bonuses are from phanton workers,,,,,,
