A huge search and rescue operation is underway after two RAF aircraft crashed
in in the Moray Firth off Scotland.

The RAF is co-ordinating the search and rescue from RAF Lossiemouth with help from
the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the RNLI.

Buckie and Wick lifeboats have been launched to hunt the seas around the suspected
crash site and an RAF helicopter has also been involved in the search for the aircraft
and crew.

It is believed the planes which crashed are Tornado GR4s based at RAF Lossiemouth.
It is thought that they may have collided in mid air.
