While many S'poreans become unemployed, GARMENT will hire cheaper FTs and boost their own profits.

If any FT driver is reading this, a S'porean driver will be paid $3,000 per month. What is your (FT) pay? $800?

</td></tr></tbody></table> <!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--> <!-- more than 4 paragraphs --> ON SUNDAY, as usual, I went with some friends to town. However, this time I chose to take public transport rather than drive.
I caught SBS Transit service 5 at about 3.15pm. The experience was disappointing. The bus driver took the wrong route and caused some passengers to be late for their destination and alighted at the wrong bus stop.
He was supposed to drive past bus stops at Block 151 and Jalan Damai, off Bedok Reservoir Road. Instead, he diverted to another two bus stops at blocks 629 and 609 Bedok Reservoir Road.
When commuters went up to him and questioned him, he denied making a mistake. He insisted that he was right until a lot of commuters told him otherwise. Then he checked and realised he had taken the wrong route.
He then admitted his mistake.
To my amazement, he did not know the route and needed an auntie on the bus to direct him to the right bus stop.

Did any part of that complain letter state that the driver was FT? I must have missed something. It might be a new driver who was transfer to a new route. Everyone makes mistakes.

The buses has GPS system....this one most likey to save cost, was using the star charts by Admiral Cheng Ho crew...but he got star-crossed..

A million dollar transport ministar & a world class bus system...can not be making mistakes like this...

A new driver, gets orientation before he/she drive the new route...unless this one uses a STIMULATOR..I mean a simulator...

She is knowledgeable, but it'd be very slow. You'd need 2 hours to reach your destination when it should be just 15 minutes.

At least you will get there..but doesn't promise WHEN!..better than, you are promised so much, pay so much, you are promised when you will get there, but WHEN will you get there.

Which is better?...which WHEN?

I'd take the risk on the second when and then, after an hour of no-show I'd change to another bus if I think it's necessary, and I hope it isn't manned by yet another ignorant People's Republic of China driver.
