<!-- START OF : div id="storytext"--><!-- more than 4 paragraphs -->I WOULD like Certis Cisco to explain its position regarding use of public parking spaces by Cisco vehicles and public conduct of Cisco officers.
I was in carpark HR-4 in Haig Road on Wednesday at 6.30pm. There were numerous Cisco vehicles ferrying Cisco officers in large numbers. As I drove through the carpark, Cisco officers were walking about with total disregard for carpark traffic. This subject not only themselves, but also drivers like me, to hazard. The officers seemed oblivious to their surroundings, even when I sounded my horn.
As I observed, these vehicles were ferrying officers to the nearby hawker centre to eat.
Also, during this Hari Raya festive season, the HR-4 carpark and several others have restrictions to allow only season parking ticket holders to enter. This affects those visiting the nearby Geylang Serai festive market and adds to the carpark congestion.
My questions are:
- Why are Cisco vehicles given preference to park freely when not on business, while other vehicles have to avoid these carparks?
- Why do Cisco officers misbehave in public when they are wearing the police crest on their uniform?
- My understanding is that Cisco is operated as a business entity providing security services. As a business entity, why is Cisco exempt from being fined for parking offences while other business entities are not given this privilege?
