Break-ins at money-changers
By Jalelah Abu Baker

THE owner of a money changer-cum sundry shop lost more $50,000 when his shop at Midlink plaza was broken into last weekend.

He was informed by the security guard on Monday that the main door of his shop on Middle Road had been forced open.

He then discovered $30,000 cash, jewellery worth $20,000 and foreign currency worth $1,500 missing from his safe.

He had locked the shop before leaving for the day on Friday.

In another break-in during the same weekend, a moneychanger lost more than $3,000 in local and foreign cash at his shop at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8.

Anyone with information can call the police hotline on 1800-255-0000.

Can expect more of these, and even armed robbery at e.g. Singapore Pools 4D Toto shops. Times are bad, going from bad to worst.

Singapore Boleh!
