據媒體報導，烏干達東部一所學校的學生偷偷將一枚手榴彈帶進學校與同伴玩耍，結果不慎引爆，造成3人死亡、17人重傷。
報導說，慘劇發生在烏干達東部(卡普喬魯瓦)的一所學校。一個名叫(西拉傑)的17歲學生8號將一枚手榴彈帶進學校，與其他2名同學試圖拉出手榴彈引線，結果引爆，造成3人死亡，圍觀的17名學生重傷。
警方表示，爆炸造成1名學生當場身亡，西拉傑與另1名學生在送醫後不治身亡。卡普喬魯瓦醫院說，一些受傷學生被炸斷了肢體，還有學生腹部嚴重受傷。
警方認為，西拉傑可能是從父親那裏偷出了這枚手榴彈。

Stick grenade kills three in eastern Uganda

Three pupils of Piswa Primary School in Benet Sub-county, Kapchorwa district in Northern Uganda, died after a stick grenade being carried by one of them exploded.
According to the Kapchorwa Police chief, Mr Andrew Namonyo, Siraj Chelangat, 17, sneaked into the classroom on Wednesday morning with a stick grenade.
“He kept pulling the string attached to the gadget and asked his friends to do likewise,” Mr Namonyo told Daily Monitor yesterday.
Mr Namonyo added: “The grenade exploded hitting three pupils, Solimo who died on the spot while Chelangat and Kibet died later at Kapchorwa Hospital.”
The Kapchorwa Hospital medical superintendent, Dr Martin Eriaza, reported that 17 other pupils, seven of them girls, sustained severe injuries, some losing their limbs, while others had their stomachs ripped apart.
The Police say Chelangat’s father is an army deserter, only known as Pte. Sole, who could have sneaked out of the army with the grenade.
The Police were yet to arrest him since it was reported and he was on the run with his unnamed wife.
