this place is really hell!
do not be fooled by their tv ad. nothing much to offer at a price of $16.90 ++ making a total of about $20 per pax. they charge:
1. towel @30c ( any extra u need, would be extra charges accordingly)
2. plain ice water at $1
3. each diner is given only 2 hrs to eat as much and as fast as they could. exceeded that, there would be EXTRA CHARGES!
so do u still wanna eat there? we are eating STEAMBOAT in 2 soup base - one chicken stock and another mala 3rd degree. now how fast could one gulp down in a steaming hot steamboat?
this restaurant is simple EVIL!
they give u mala hot spicy soup 3rd degree - yep! super chilli hot that burn your tongue and numb all the senses. that's not all. if u r not a chilli eater, consuming that would send u to bomb the toilet the next day. for me the same night, i was already bombing my toilet at 3am! warning: your butthole burns after the bombs are painfully unloaded!!
that's why u see the evil here? they charge u $1 for iced tap water. though it is free flow, it's still tap water.
next, since this is buffet style, it's really unsporting to insist u done with all the eating within the 2 hrs limit....OR ELSE!
when i entered the restaurant with my pal, i was puzzled as to why beside face reddened with the spicy mala, one laukuaybu was ranting: "PIAN REN DE!! NA YOU REN ZI YANG CI DONG XI!!??" (bluff people one! where got people like that eat things one huh!!??)
obviously she had exceeded her 2hr time limit and had to pay some extra if she had continued. hence grudgingly, she left all boiled up.
the only comfort i got was the sea view overlooking sentosa. maybe i was fortunate that night, half way through my dinner, there was a spectacular fireworks shooting out in the sentosa's sky.
then came the tortorous part. i sipped some mala 3rd degree spicy soup and CALL THE FIRE ENGINE!!! that was how $1 was conned off for a glass of iced tap water. as i was sweating like a geyser, i requested for extra servette, there i was conned again for extra 60c for 2 packets of the wet tissue. mind you! all these included 10% and another 7%
verdict: DEFINITELY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY. lst and last time patronising there.
