Boy survives fall from escalator

A two-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after falling from the top of an escalator to the floor below at a shopping mall in China.
Chilling CCTV video shows the moment the toddler climbed up an escalator handrail at a mall reportedly located in Dongguan, Guangdong Province.
In the vision the toddler can be seen watching another child go down the escalator, before grabbing on to the escalator handrail.
Just moments after the toddler was pulled up onto the handrail he tumbled over the edge and fell metres down to the floor below.
The toddler managed to survive the horrific fall, which is believed to have occurred last Tuesday.
The two-year-old is now recovering after several days of life-saving efforts from medical personnel.
