BAGAN SERAI, Malaysia - A 13-year-old boy has been detained on suspicion of raping his neighbour's 6-year-old daughter in Batu 4, Jalan Selama here, last Saturday.
The incident was alleged to have occurred between 4pm and 5pm after the suspect was believed to have lured the victim into his house on the pretext of showing her how circumcision was carried out.
Kerian district police chief Superintendent Mat Fauzi Nayan said as soon as the victim entered the house, the suspect took her into the bathroom and allegedly raped her.
"At the time of the incident, none of their parents were at home.
"The victim then told her parents about the incident. They took her for a medical check-up. A doctor confirmed she had been raped," he told reporters here yesterday.
