Macron is a beta male who has a fetish for old hags. Hopefully Le Pen replaces him soon.

The French can't wait to get rid of Macron. Merkel is his sugarmummy.

Merkel's days are numbered. She has a debilitating illness.

Hopefully the AfD takes power in Germany.

I do disagree with the Brazilian President,,,the issue is with Faggie Macron instead of his wife...

Brazilian women are probably ashamed of President Jair Bolsonaro, French President Emmanuel Macron has said, hitting back after the Brazilian leader mocked Mr Macron's wife on Facebook.

Key points:
  • Brazil's far-right president made a comment criticised as sexist
  • Mr Macron hit back over the jibe against his wife
  • Relations between France and Brazil have soured as fires burn in the Amazon

The leaders have been feuding in recent weeks, with Mr Macron blaming Mr Bolsonaro for fires in the Amazon and accusing him of lying about climate change policy.

A Bolsonaro supporter posted a meme mocking the appearance of Brigitte Macron, 66, and comparing her unfavourably with Brazil's first lady Michelle Bolsonaro, 37, with the tagline: "Now you understand why Macron is persecuting Bolsonaro?"

"Do not humiliate the man hahaha," Mr Bolsonaro wrote in a comment.

Asked by AFP whether the response came from Mr Bolsonaro himself, a spokesman for Brazil's presidential palace refused to comment.

When asked about the incident at a news conference on Monday in Biarritz where G7 leaders are gathered for a summit, Mr Macron said the comments were "extremely disrespectful" to his wife.

"It's sad, it's sad first of all for him and for Brazilians," Mr Macron said.

"Brazilian women are probably feeling ashamed of their president."
"Since I have a lot of esteem and respect for the people of Brazil, I hope they will very soon have a president who is up to the job," Mr Macron added.

Later on Monday, Mr Bolsonaro denounced Mr Macron's plan for an international alliance to protect the Amazon, saying on Twitter that it would treat Brazil like a "colony".

"We cannot accept French President Emmanuel Macron's 'improper' and 'wanton' attacks on the Amazon, nor can we accept that he disguises his intentions," he said on Twitter.
Brazil was angered after Mr Macron, in the run-up to the G7 summit, tweeted a photo of the burning Amazon forest, writing: "Our house is burning. Literally."

Mr Macron said he had been lied to by Mr Bolsonaro over his commitments to fighting climate change.

Since taking office in January, Mr Bolsonaro has railed against the enforcement of environmental regulations in Brazil and announced intentions to develop the Amazon region, where deforestation of the world's largest rainforest by loggers, ranchers and speculators has surged this year.

The fires across the world's largest rainforest, which experts have blamed on rampant deforestation, have triggered a global outcry — with European nations leading the charge against Mr Bolsonaro, who has made no secret of his scepticism about climate change.

Ties between Brazil and France have plunged since Mr Bolsonaro's election. Last month the Brazilian leader snubbed France's top diplomat by cancelling their meeting and getting a haircut instead, which he broadcast live on Facebook.

Jean-Yves Le Drian had angered Mr Bolsonaro by meeting with non-profits that have been critical of the South American leader.

Last week, Mr Bolsonaro accused non-profit organisations of deliberately starting the fires after their funding was cut.

Bolsonaro tanks in domestic poll
Meanwhile, the approval rating of Mr Bolsonaro's right-wing government has plunged to 29.4 per cent in August from 38.9 per cent in February, according to a poll published on Monday that showed a majority of Brazilians are unhappy with his performance.

The CNT/MDA poll said 39.5 per cent of those surveyed find his eight-month-old government bad or terrible, compared with 19 per cent in February.

Disapproval of his personal performance as president surged to 53.7 per cent from 28.2 per cent, and approval fell to 41 per cent from 57.5 per cent, it said.

Mr Bolsonaro is doing well fighting corruption, improving security and reducing the size of government, the poll showed, but he is bad on health, education and the environment, an area where he has been criticised at home and abroad for downplaying the severity of fires raging in the Amazon forest.

His worst actions to date, according to the poll, have been a decree easing gun controls, his offensive and inappropriate comments, spending cuts in education and the influence he has allowed his sons to have in his administration.

His decision to appoint his son Eduardo Bolsonaro as Brazil's ambassador to the United States was considered wrong by 72.7 per cent of the people polled. Only 21.8 per cent though that it was his prerogative.

The Senate has yet to confirm his son amid growing resistance to the appointment.

The MDA poll commissioned by the transport lobby CNT surveyed 2,002 voters between August 22 and August 25 and has a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points.

Family
Johnson's paternal great-grandfather was Circassian-Turkish journalist Ali Kemal[6][7][8] who was a secular Muslim; his father's other ancestry includes English, German and French; one of his German ancestors was said to be the illegitimate daughter of Prince Paul of Württemberg and thus a descendant of King George II of Great Britain.[9] This would make him and Elizabeth II 6th cousins 2 times removed. However, through Mary of Teck's connection to Frederick II Eugene, Duke of Württembergthey have a closer genealogical link, as they are 5th cousins 2 times removed. Johnson's mother is the granddaughter of Elias Avery Lowe, a palaeographer, who was a Russian Jewish immigrant to the US,[10] and Pennsylvania-born Helen Tracy Lowe-Porter, a translator of Thomas Mann.[11] In reference to his varied ancestry, Johnson has described himself as a "one-man melting pot" – with a combination of Muslims, Jews, and Christians as great-grandparents.[12

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson will seek to shut down Parliament ahead of the Brexit deadline.

Key points:
  • Mr Johnson has denied the move is to prevent MPs stopping a no-deal Brexit
  • One MP described the move as an attempt to govern without Parliament
  • The UK is due to leave the EU on October 31

Critics say such a move is part of a drive to prevent MPs from having a say on a controversial no-deal exit from the European Union.

It comes a day after politicians who are opposed to a no-deal Brexit met to discuss ways they could use parliamentary procedure to force Mr Johnson to seek a delay to Brexit.

Mr Johnson said he had asked the Queen to request an end to the current parliamentary session in the second sitting week in September and bring it back for a Queen's speech nearly a month later.

"We're not going to wait until October the 31st before getting on with our plans to take this country forward, and this is a new Government with a very exciting agenda," Mr Johnson said.

"We are bringing forward a new legislative program on crime, hospitals, making sure we have the education funding we need.

"To do that we need new legislation, we've got to be bringing forward new and important bills and that's why we are going to have a Queen's speech, and we're going to do it on October 14."

The Prime Minister denied the move was designed to prevent MPs the time to stop a no-deal Brexit.

"No, that is completely untrue," Mr Johnson said.

Mr Johnson said MPs would have "ample time" to debate the UK's departure from the EU, which is currently set for October 31.

The Government's plan caused the value of the pound to fall, losing nearly one per cent to both the Euro and US Dollar since the news broke.

Former chancellor Phillip Hammond, who quit the Cabinet before Mr Johnson became prime minister, said the move was "profoundly undemocratic".

"It would be a constitutional outrage if Parliament were prevented from holding the government to account at a time of national crisis," Mr Hammond tweeted.

'A dark day for democracy'
Conservative MP Dominic Grieve said MPs were more likely to bring on a no-confidence vote in Boris Johnson in the wake of the move.

Mr Grieve said it made it more difficult for Tory rebels like himself to give confidence to the Government.

He said the move to suspend Parliament was an attempt to govern without Parliament and that the Parliament could move quickly to a vote of no confidence.

Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon tweeted it appeared Mr Johnson was trying to shut down Parliament to force through a no-deal Brexit.

"Unless MPs come together to stop him next week, today will go down in history as a dark one indeed for UK democracy," Ms Sturgeon said.
