During his time and after his death, Machiavelli was continually blasted for his "support" of corrupt ruling. Didnt he die in exile?

No he did not die in exile. He came back to try to work for the republic when the Medici was overthrown. But by then, his book was misunderstood by the public as being associated with his persona, when he was actually a recorder. He never ragained his post and died later.

Thought it came out years ago. The Man And His Ideas by Alex Josey, i.i.r.c.

In any case, LKY wrote his own Memoirs too. The Singapore Story and From Third World To First.
